A Message from the Board of Directors

June 6, 2025 – The CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties Board of Directors announces today that Lindsay Salas has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer. Vickie Ricord, who has served as Acting CEO since January, has been appointed Interim CEO.

“Vickie has been a cornerstone of CASA operations for more than a decade, and her heart has always been with the children and families we serve,” says Kate Karnik, Board Co-Chair. “The Board has full confidence in her ability to lead the organization through this period of change.”

At CASA, Ricord is known for steady, mission-driven leadership. She has helped manage multimillion-dollar programs, built performance management systems that drive impact, and strengthened collaboration with donors, judicial partners, and community organizations. Widely recognized for her integrity, equity-centered leadership, and ability to foster inclusive, high-performing teams, Ricord plays a vital role in advancing CASA’s mission throughout the region.

The Board of Directors is assessing future leadership needs and will share details about a search process in the coming weeks.
