We Are a Child's Voice in Court®
To provide court-appointed volunteer advocacy for children and youth from the child welfare system so every child can be safe, have a permanent home, and have the opportunity to thrive.
To build a community where every child victim of abuse and neglect in Adams and Broomfield Counties is given the opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving home.
CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties was incorporated in 1999 and serves the 17th Judicial District of Colorado. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and part of The National CASA Association for Children, which supports a network of 950 CASA Programs in 49 states and the District of Columbia.
We recruit, train, and supervise community volunteers, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA’s), to advocate in court for children and youth.
CASA’s partnership with the U.S. Judicial System is a unique and necessary merging of the public and private sphere, providing children with one of the most valuable resources we can give during their time in the court system – a stable, consistent adult who cares.
Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties serves children and families of many different races, ethnicities, abilities, classes, gender identities, sexual orientations, and religions. In support of our entire community, we are committed to reflecting the values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in every aspect of the work we do.
Our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Committee works to build collaborative relationships with diverse organizations and members of our community to recruit a diverse team of Board Members, Staff, and CASA Volunteers who are representative of the population of children we serve. We also work closely with community leaders to ensure we are taking the most effective actions to create positive change and be a culturally responsive, equitable, and inclusive organization.
We recognize that racism, ableism, classism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and religious prejudice deeply affect people in the communities we serve. By denouncing systemic inequities and striving to continually improve upon our efforts, we can Change a Child’s Story and build a better future for children and youth of all backgrounds.
