Adams County, CO — Sept 19, 2025 – CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties Board of Directors announced at the September 17 Indulge for CASA gala that Vickie Ricord has been named Chief Executive Officer, following a unanimous recommendation from the Board’s Search Committee. The CEO selection followed a rigorous national and local search process.

Ricord, who has served in multiple leadership roles with CASA over the past decade, including Interim CEO, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Program Officer brings more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, child advocacy, and organizational development. She steps into the permanent CEO role after guiding the organization through a leadership transition while ensuring continued growth, stability, and community trust.

“Vickie has demonstrated exceptional leadership, an unwavering commitment to CASA’s mission, and the ability to strengthen our staff, volunteers, and community partnerships,” said Boni Sandoval, co-chair of the CASA Board. “Her vision and proven record of impact made her the clear choice to lead CASA into its next chapter.”

“I am honored to step into the role of CEO at CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties,” said Ricord. “This organization has been my home for nearly a decade, and I am continually inspired by our staff, volunteers, and partners who give so much to ensure children in our community are seen, heard, and supported. Together, we will continue to build on CASA’s strong foundation and expand our impact for the children who need us most.”

Since joining CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties in 2015, Ricord has advanced through a series of key leadership roles. Her accomplishments include:

Program innovation: Expanded advocacy services through truancy and family engagement models, directly serving more children and securing new grant funding.

Community partnerships: Led statewide data initiatives that strengthened alignment across CASA programs statewide.

Staff leadership: Built a collaborative, trauma-informed workplace culture, prioritizing staff development and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

“What impressed us most about Vickie is how she always keeps CASA’s mission front and center,” said Donna Alengi, CASA board member and search committee member. “She restructured the budget in a way that safeguarded programs and saved the organization more than $150,000. This kind of stewardship, balancing financial responsibility with an unwavering commitment to children, is exactly the leadership CASA needs moving forward.”
