JANUARY – Heather Kopas

Heather Kopas has been chosen as January 2023 CASA volunteer of the month! Heather was sworn in as an advocate in August of 2020. Her first case closed successfully with the reunification of the three children she served and was instrumental in helping the family find consistent housing. After a brief break she was assigned to her second case with two children. She is a consistent figure in the children’s lives and continually advocates for their best interest. Thank you and congratulations Heather!

FEBRUARY – Tim McIntire

Tim McIntire was named February 2023 CASA Volunteer of the month! Once Tim retired, he was interested in ways to give back to his community. CASA presented at his place of worship, and he knew this would be a good fit. He completed the training and was sworn in as an advocate in September 2022 and immediately took a case. Since taking his first case, Tim has been a consistent adult for the child and family he serves. He gathers crucial information and brings this back to the court with his thorough and thoughtful court reports. Congratulations Tim!

MARCH – Emily Holloway

Congratulations to Emily Holloway for being name March 2023 CASA Volunteer of the Month. Her pull to CASA was sparked by a friend who had been a CASA volunteer in Boulder and she knew that this was a great way to give back to her community. Emily was sworn in as a CASA in November of 2022 and immediately was assigned to a case with 2 children. She jumped right in with the team to make sure the children had educational support and consistency that they needed. Emily has become an integral part of the team and always has the most updated information to share with the court.
