Enneagram Series - Part 1

Intro to Self-Awareness Using the Enneagram and Presence Practice.

Self-Awareness is knowing what we do/don’t do and why. It starts by knowing we were born with goodness and gifts. However, from a young age, we develop unconscious, automatic personality habits to protect ourselves or to meet our needs, sometimes covering up our gifts. The Enneagram is a practical tool to identify personality habits by using 9 patterns of thinking, feeling and doing. You can begin to explore your Type online or in various podcasts, videos, or books.

Presence Practice is another tool used with the Enneagram. Once we know our Type patterns, being in the present moment helps to recognize them, to choose different behaviors, and to change old habits. Presence is also valuable for calming us when we are upset or reactive, and to ‘tune in’ to our relationships at work, with family, and friends.
