Book Club

In honor of AAPI Heritage Month, join us for our next Volunteer Book Club in May as we read Beautiful Country by Qian Julie Wang, a powerful memoir centering Asian American voices and experiences. Through vivid storytelling, Wang shares her childhood as an undocumented immigrant navigating poverty, fear, and the challenge of building a life in a system not designed for her family.

At its heart, the book is a story of resilience, identity, and the determination to belong. It offers meaningful insight into how systemic barriers impact children and families—making it especially relevant to our work as advocates. Come connect with fellow volunteers for a thoughtful and engaging discussion.

Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP to Isabella Johnson using the link below.
