Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties serves children and families of many different races, ethnicities, abilities, classes, gender identities, sexual orientations and religions. We are dedicated to doing the work needed to better support our entire community.
Our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee will continue to build collaborative relationships with diverse organizations and members of our community to recruit a diverse team of Board Members, Staff and CASA Volunteers that are representative of the population of children we serve. We will work closely with community leaders to ensure we are taking the right steps forward to create positive change and be a culturally responsive, equitable and inclusive organization.
We recognize that racism, ableism, classism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and religious prejudice deeply affect people in our own backyard. By denouncing systemic inequities and striving to be better, we can Change a Child’s Story and build a better future for abused and neglected children of all backgrounds in our community.
A Message to Our Community
CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties is committed to being an anti-racist, anti-discriminatory organization that recognizes and opposes systemic racism and inequities within our community.
As an organization that works with a highly vulnerable population, where many individuals are a part of traditionally marginalized groups, we stand against any and all violence impacting historically underrepresented members of our communities.
Our organization is dedicated to being a safe space for all marginalized groups experiencing discrimination and injustice. We will elevate marginalized voices throughout every aspect of our organization. We see you, we hear you, and we want you to know, you matter.
